Banana Box is a fair trade jewelry company based out of Nairobi, Kenya. 

The company's mission is to confront and change two of Kenya's most staggering statistics: (1) 50% of Kenyans live below the poverty line, and (2) 70% of Kenyan youth are unable to find employment at the end of their education. In addition, many Kenyan women continue to suffer from the effects of gender discrimination. Over the last twenty years, Banana Box has sought to harness the creativity, innovation, and talent of the Kenyan people, working with artists and communities to develop and market these entrepreneurial skills.
