The company works in Bangladesh, Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru with over 90 artisans who create a variety of products, including fabrics, clothing, jewelry, and other items. Minga specializes in a different kind of wholesaling, where they act as the original buyer from individuals the company has sought out itself. Then, they directly sell products over to buyers. By eliminating the middleman, they are able to regulate and ensure fair trade conditions for their artisans while also encouraging traditional art forms. The problem with most wholesalers is that they try to get a multitude of products from the same providers while also trying to encourage artisans to create using Westernized designs, which deteriorates traditional methods of creating. Minga has identified this, and is working to counterract this movement by making a statement of their own.
