Moda Esperanza was co-founded in January of 2009 by Felicita Guitierrez Maldonado and Lisa Weinberger through a strong shared desire to help single mothers and struggling women.

Through CWOW, Moda Esperanza trains and empowers impoverished women artisans in Honduras. The goal is to lead them toward financial independence with dignity and hope for themselves, their families, and their communities. Your purchase makes a lasting impact on their lives.

Products are made from recycled pop tabs and reclaimed/local materials to create beautiful and unique products. The pop tab is a simple thing (one that many of us discard without a second thought). Through Moda Esperanza, the simple pop tab is changing lives. Women and single mothers, many whom are orphans themselves, are empowered by earning a fair wage, while still being able to care for their children, by turning recycled pop tabs into purses, bags, belts, and earrings.

100% of all proceeds go directly to the artisans and programs that support their future.
